Royal Wedding Gown Replica in Victoria Sunday
Victoria, BC – A replica of the most photographed wedding gown in history comes to
Victoria this week for up close and personal viewings this Sunday at the Victoria Bridal Expo.
Kate Middleton's wedding gown, created by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, with its plunging neckline and lace sleeves, had been kept a closely-guarded secret until the last moment before her Royal wedding ceremony to Prince William. When unveiled, it was quoted to have sent the British fashion industry into "paroxysms of ecstasy".
In addition to her gorgeous wedding gown replica, replicas of the gown Kate changed into for her wedding reception, and the Sarah Burton gown that her sister, Pippa Middleton, wore to the Royal wedding will be showcased in the Expo Fashion Show, held at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Duplicates will also be on display at the Luz Bridal Boutique booth.
The gowns are presented by Luz Bridal Boutique. The Victoria Bridal Expo runs one day only, on Sunday, September 18th, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. under the soaring glass roof of the Crystal Garden.
